A historic light-measuring set with a documented connection to its past. This Standard-Luxmeter I by Elektro-Physikalische Werkstätten (Dr. B. Lange) bears serial number 2798, matching the number on the accompanying original warranty certificate. The certificate records a delivery date of July 8, 1965, and names VEB Vakoma Jena as the recipient.
The analog meter features a 0–100 lux scale and a range selector marked ×1 and ×10. The set includes a separate light sensor with cable, identified by the seller as a selenium photocell, a leather carrying case, the warranty certificate and a handwritten note. Dr. B. Lange Berlin labels and a sticker marked DAMG-IV-11 are present on the underside. These historic markings do not establish current calibration.
A distinctive addition to a collection of historic measuring instruments, scientific equipment or industrial design. The combination of the meter, accessories and matching numbered warranty certificate offers a tangible link to the instrument’s history.
The housing shows signs of use and scratches. The carrying case shows wear, and the documents have folds and tears. Operation and measurement accuracy have not been confirmed. This set is offered as a historic collectible, with no guarantee of calibration.
