A distinctive piece of Swiss measuring technology, this Etalon Microselect outside micrometer has a measuring range of 0–25 mm and combines a mechanical rolling-digit counter with a traditional graduated thimble. The digits appear directly in a viewing window, an ingenious mechanical approach to displaying measurements. Where modern digital micrometers use an LCD screen, the appeal of this instrument lies in its mechanical counter, metal construction and distinctive black grip. A characterful addition to a collection of Swiss instruments, vintage measuring tools or classic workshop equipment. The instrument bears the markings Etalon, Switzerland, Microselect and 0–25. The wooden case is marked Etalon, Rolle-Switzerland and 0–25 mm. According to the seller’s information, this is an Etalon (Pierre Roch) instrument supplied with its original accessories.
