Vintage analog external micrometer from VEB Feinmesszeugfabrik Suhl (FMS) from the GDR, with a measuring range of 275–300 mm. The closed frame with a light-colored hammer-tone finish and two black grip surfaces gives this large measuring instrument a characteristic industrial look. Supplied with an adjustment wrench and a non-matching wooden FMS box.

Condition: According to the seller, new and smoothly operating, with the paper label still around the neck. There are visible signs of age on the instrument, label, and box. The paper label is frayed in places; the box has superficial marks and the light yellow lining in the lid is discolored and damaged in places. Please see the photos for the cosmetic condition. Operation and measurement accuracy have not been independently verified; calibration is not independently confirmed. For precision measuring work, inspection or calibration is recommended.
