Gossen Triohm Vintage Ohmmeter with Leather Case – 1969 Case Stamp

€165,00 EUR
A characterful piece of postwar European electrical engineering: this analog Triohm ohmmeter is attributed to Gossen of Erlangen, Germany, based on the supplied information. Its classic dial and deep-black ribbed housing give this historic measuring instrument a distinctive presence. According to the supplied information, the housing is made of Bakelite/phenolic resin. An integrated clip is fitted to the back, while the battery compartment cover is marked 1.5 V. The white dial bears the name “Triohm” and a resistance scale with markings including 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1k, 5k and the infinity symbol. The meter comes with a black leather carrying case with a silver-colored metal clasp. According to the supplied information, this is its original case. Inside is a stamp identifying Hartmann & Miltner, Lederwarenfabrik Braunschweig, Hedwigstraße 20, together with the date 1969. The date on the case does not, by itself, establish the manufacturing year of the instrument. An appealing collectible for enthusiasts of German technology, historic laboratory equipment and scientific instruments. As a decorative object, it also suits a study, office or Dark Academia-inspired interior. Vintage condition with visible signs of use and age on the housing, dial edges and case. Please examine the photographs for the exterior condition. Operation has not been confirmed, and no guarantee of calibration or measurement accuracy is provided. Only the meter and the pictured case are included; test leads are not shown. Dimensions: approximately 14.5 × 12 × 4 cm. Weight: approximately 315 grams. Only one example of this product is available. Tracked shipping is charged separately.
