Discover the mechanical charm of German engineering.
This original IVO Probator hand tachometer is a beautifully preserved piece of industrial heritage. According to the seller, it was manufactured by Irion & Vosseler (IVO) in West Germany. The dial bears the IVO logo and the marking “Made in Germany.” The instrument combines a mechanical revolution counter with a built-in timing mechanism to determine the rotational speed of shafts and machinery from the number of revolutions recorded over a measured period.
The seller describes the set as being in very clean, working vintage condition. The instrument features a silver-colored housing, a clear white dial and mechanical number wheels that turn smoothly according to the seller. Light signs of use are visible on the housing. Measurement accuracy and calibration have not been verified.
The tachometer comes in its original ribbed storage case, complete with two rubber contact tips for different shaft ends and the multilingual instruction leaflet (Gebrauchsanweisung / Directions for use).
An appealing piece for collectors of historical measuring instruments, restorers of classic machinery, or anyone seeking a distinctive technical object for an industrial-style interior.
