Swiss Precision Engineering by P. Roch, Rolle A distinctive P. Roch outside micrometer with a measuring range of 100–125 mm, housed in a fitted case with striking purple lining. Its dark frame, knurled thimble and shield-shaped maker’s logo give this instrument a strong technical character. A collectible piece for enthusiasts of historical measuring instruments and Swiss precision engineering. Maker’s Logo and Markings The front bears the shield-shaped “P. ROCH / ROLLE / SUISSE” logo between the numbers 100 and 125. Above the logo is “INOXYDABLE,” the French term for stainless. The reverse displays an eagle emblem, the letters “WH” and the marking “WaA160.” The thimble features a finely graduated scale and an additional scratched identification code, read by the seller as “HAP-VW 364.” Historical Attribution The seller dates this instrument to 1940–1944 and attributes the WH and WaA160 markings to the Wehrmacht and Waffenamt military acceptance.
