A distinctive piece of European electrical engineering and industrial heritage: an original Siemens phase sequence indicator, also known as a phase rotation indicator or Drehfeldrichtungsanzeiger. Designed to check the phase rotation of three-phase electrical networks, this instrument combines a clear white dial with a deep-black housing.
The front features the embossed SIEMENS name and a historic monogram. Classic R-S-T phase markings, bold direction arrows, and three connection terminals give the instrument its unmistakable technical character. Its clean, understated lines also make it an appealing display piece for collectors of historical electrical equipment, industrial design, or Dark Academia office decor.
According to the seller, this instrument was manufactured by Siemens & Halske in Germany, probably around 1950–1955, with a pressed black bakelite housing, glass viewing window, and steel mounting hardware. The dating and material composition have not been independently verified.
