A distinctive Siemens set featuring a chrome-plated vibration probe, a glossy black Bakelite control/mounting unit and a two-tone woven fabric cord. A historical collectible with the industrial character of Art Deco and Mid-Century design. According to the supplied information, this Siemens set is from Germany and dates to approximately the 1940s–1950s. Its exact application and date have not been independently established. CONSTRUCTION AND INCLUDED ITEMS • Chrome-plated steel vibration probe/handpiece. • Black Bakelite control/mounting unit with a metal bracket and Siemens logos. • Two-tone woven fabric cord, reported to be original. • Matching storage box with a Siemens paper label, also reported to be original. CONDITION Reported to be in particularly attractive cosmetic condition, with a strong, mirror-like shine on the Bakelite and chrome. The fabric cord is reported to be well preserved, without major fraying. The photographs show surface wear on the black housing and wear to the box and paper label.
