A distinctive pair of vintage precision laboratory shunts (measurement resistors), designed to extend the current ranges of analog laboratory meters. The seller attributes these instruments to Metrawatt Nürnberg, with a historical Siemens & Halske association, and dates them to around 1955. This attribution and dating have not been independently verified.
Their clean white front panels, robust black binding posts and metal connection tabs capture the technical aesthetic of mid-century laboratory equipment. An appealing addition to a collection of classic European measuring instruments, physics apparatus or engineering heritage.
The set includes two shunts with current ranges of 0.6 / 1.2 / 2.4 A and 6 / 12 / 24 A.
Front-panel markings include 60 mV, 5 Ω and accuracy class 0.2. The class marking does not guarantee present-day accuracy or calibration.
