Soviet Type НЦ (NTs) gear tooth displacement gauge, supplied in a wooden case with a dial indicator, measuring rollers and the accompanying Russian factory passport. A specialised mechanical instrument for checking gear geometry and a distinctive example of analogue Soviet-era instrument making. Details • Measuring frame: ЛИЗ (LIZ); dial indicator: ЧИЗ (CHIZ), according to the seller. • Type: НЦ (NTs), with serial number 167 according to the seller. • For gear modules m2 to m10, as indicated by the handwritten inscription on the case. • Dial indicator with 0.01 mm graduations and “Made in USSR” marking. The graduation interval does not guarantee current measuring accuracy. • According to the seller, the factory passport records a quality-control inspection on 30 March 1981, and the instrument was manufactured to Soviet standard ГОСТ 4446-74. • Includes the wooden case, measuring frame, dial indicator, measuring rollers and Russian factory passport shown in the photographs. • Weight including case: 1,529 grams. • Case dimensions: approximately 22 × 20 × 6 cm. Condition According to the seller, this is a complete, unused New Old Stock (NOS) set, free of rust. The visible residue on the metal components is resin from the original protective treatment, not rust. The wooden case and paperwork show age and storage marks. Several components remain wrapped in brown protective paper. Completeness, operation and current calibration have not been independently verified. The historical factory passport is not a current calibration certificate. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
