An Unsigned Masterpiece of Mechanical Precision Vintage disc micrometer with a sturdy green frame, broad disc-shaped measuring faces and a finely engraved scale. A characterful instrument for collectors of historical measuring tools and mechanical engineering equipment. According to the seller, its construction resembles the Carl Mahr Model 40 AW. The instrument bears no prominently visible maker’s mark. Attribution to Carl Mahr and identification of the exact model have not been independently confirmed. Distinctive Features • Sturdy curved frame with two circular openings. • Thimble with two knurled grip sections. • Knurled collar beside the scale sleeve. • Broad disc-shaped measuring faces, described by the seller as intended for gear and flange measurement. • Measuring range according to the seller: 0–25 mm. • Weight: 332 grams. • Dimensions: approximately 18 × 8 × 3 cm.
